Mint essential oil
Mint is used both in regenerative areas and cosmetics. Peppermint essential oil is obtained by distillation steam. Thanks to that, all properties of the herb are preserved. Its properties have been confirmed by a lot of research. Mint essential oil has been shown to have strong antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal effects.
Mint – antibacterial and antiviral
Mint essential oil can be well against HSV-1 and HSV-2. Its positive properties against bacterias has also been proven:
- Staphylococcus aureus
- S. Enteritidis and S. Typhimurium
- Escherichia coli
- Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus cereus, Staphylococcus epidermidis
Thanks to this oil properties is widely used in cosmetics, such as:
- blackheads, acne, broken capillaries, chicken pox, eczema, scabies, oily skin
- mycosis
- abscesses, boils, cellulitis, folliculitis, contagious impetigo, lamella – caused by the bacterium S. aureus
Antifungal properties of mint oil
Pure mint essential oil also has excellent antifungal properties. It is effective against:
- yeast C. albicans, C. glabrata, C. tropicalis, C. krusei, C. dubliniensis, C.
- parapsilosis, C. neoformance
- fungi A. flavus, A. fumigatus, A. fumigates, A. oryzae, A. clavatus.
It also shows antibiotic activity against biofilms caused by Candida albicans or Candida dubliniensis.
- indigestion and flatulence;
- cardiovascular diseases;
- rheumatism;
- skin irritations;
- respiratory diseases;
- headache, including migraines and even a runny nose.
How to use our essential oils?
We offer you extremely strong chemical substances of plant origin, so in order to avoid irritation, use them carefully and after appropriate dilution. The most popular methods of using oils are:
- inhalations – add a few drops to a bowl with hot water or an inhaler and inhale water vapor with active substances
- baths – depending on the oil, add a few drops to the water and take a therapeutic bath
- massages – rub the oil after diluting it in the base oil in appropriate proportions depending on the oil
